On low, a full charge lasts roughly 6 to 8 hours around the house. On high, closer to 3 to 4. It recharges overnight from any USB phone charger.

Plug the battery in, then press a button on the chest panel. Each of the four buttons warms its own zone: collar and shoulders, chest, upper back, lower back. Press again to change the setting, hold to turn it off. If nothing lights, press the battery once to wake it.

Unplug and remove the battery, then hand wash in cool water and hang it to dry.
